April 22 – 23, 2019 Incidents

Warrants

On the 23rd of April at 4:30 p.m. a 41 year old male was arrested on his outstanding warrant for a breach of probation charge. The male was located standing on King St. West while officers were dealing with other matters. He was released from custody with a future court date.

 

Bail Violation

On the 22nd of April 2019 a 48 year old male breached his bail conditions by contacting a person he was prohibited from communicating with. The male was observed at the complainants address breaking into the mail box. The complainant contacted police about the breach. The male was located on the Pearl Street by officers on routine patrol. He was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

 

Theft

On the 23rd of April at 5:15 p.m. a 41 year old male attempted to purchase a bottle of alcohol from the LCBO on Parkedale Ave using a debit card. When that card was declined the male fled on foot with the bottle of alcohol. He was located a short distance away and charged with theft.

 

Theft

On the 22nd of April a male had taken a tip jar from a local restaurant and fled the area (previously released to the media). The male was identified in that occurrence by CCTV footage. Since that time the suspect committed a second theft. The male walked into the back of another restaurant on Parkedale Ave. and stole a purse. The male was located in the afternoon on the 23rd of April while officers were dealing with other matters on King St. He was arrested for the occurrences and released with a future court date.

 

Warrants/Domestic

On the 22nd of April at 8:20 p.m. police responded to a domestic disturbance on Cartier Court. A 20 year old male that was involved in the disturbance was arrested for a warrant that was issued when he failed to attend court for a drug charge. The male was held in custody for a bail hearing. There were not any charges as a result of the domestic occurrence.

 

Suspicious Person

On the 23rd of April 2019 at 4:00 a.m. police responded to a suspicious persons call on King St. West. The complainant described two suspects lurking at the rear of businesses on the street. One 36 year old female was located and found to be in possession of break and enter tools. The second person was also located, but not charged. The female was charged accordingly and released from custody with a future court date.
