April 5 – 6, 2017 Incidents

Mental Health Call

On the 6th of April 2017 the Brockville Police were contacted by the Brockville General Hospital to assist them in regards to having difficulty dealing with an individual suffering from a mental illness. Officers attended the residence of the 31 year old man but found it empty. Later that evening a staff member observed the male in the west end of the city in need of assistance and notified police. He was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and conveyed to the hospital for examination.

 

Residential Disturbance

Brockville Police attended a north end apartment complex after receiving calls of a woman assaulting a man. Upon police arrival it was clear that the information was correct. Officers recognized all the parties present and further investigation revealed the 44 year old female to be on probation, as well as out on bail for additional various offences. As a result she was arrested for breaching those conditions and held until sober. The woman was given a new court date with the additional charges.
