Assault

On June 9th, Brockville Police responded to an assault complaint at one of the high schools.

A 15 year old female, assaulted a 17 year old male. The injuries were minor in nature.

The female was released on conditions with a future court date.

 

Assault

On June 8th, Brockville Police received a complaint of an assault that took place over the weekend.

The 25 year old, male victim, was jumped while standing outside a downtown bar.  Investigation has led to the arrest of a 35 year old, local male.  The victim suffered minor injuries.

The accused was released on conditions and given a future court date.

Assault

On June 8th, Brockville Police responded to one of the high schools for an assault complaint.

The victim, a male student at the school, was struck several times in the head and face. He received minor injuries.

The accused, another male student, 17 years of age, was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.  He was released on conditions and a future court date.

Shoplifting

On June 8th, Brockville Police responded to Walmart for a theft complaint.

Store security had arrested a female party and were awaiting Police.  A 27 year old female, from the Spencerville area was arrested and charged with the offence.

She was released at the scene and given a future court date.

Family Dispute

On June 6th, Brockville Police responded to a family dispute at a residence in the center of the city.

A local, 26 year old male was involved in a disagreement with his 30 year old sister.  The male damaged some items in the home and took off before Police arrived.  Police are currently seeking the male to process him on the charge of mischief.

Brockville Police investigated a domestic complaint after the parties involved attended Police headquarters together.  The dispute resulted in the accused damaging the victim’s vehicle.  The local 33 year old was charged with mischief (two counts) as well as breaching conditions of his probation order.

He was released later on conditions and a future court date.

Using Stolen Credit Cards

On Saturday June 6th, 2015 an alert employee at the Real Canadian Superstore noticed 3 suspicious males at the UScan checkout whom she had recognized as being in the store 2 days early attempting to purchase a large quantity of gift cards. She notified her Loss Prevention Department who in turn contacted the Brockville Police.

Two of the males exited the store and ran off toward a vehicle parked near the Sports Experts where they were apprehended by police. Loss Prevention officers kept a watch for the 3rd suspect and pointed him out to police where he was apprehended a short time later near the Wal-Mart parking lot.

A large number of fraudulent credit cards, 2 laptop computers and a skimming device used in the production of fraudulent cards were located as a result of the arrest and it was learned the accused persons had a attended a number of stores along the Parkedale Avenue corridor.

Fredlee Maitre-St-Fleur, Jefferson Edouard, and Kendy Lucien all of the Montreal area were arrested and charged with a number of credit card offences and fraud related offences. They were remanded into custody until Wednesday June 10th for a bail hearing.

Fraud

On June 6th at approximately 1:20 am, Brockville Police responded to a downtown bar in regards to an unpaid tab.

A 47 year old, local male, was arrested and charged with fraud after failing to pay up.

He was released when sober with a future court date.

Breaching Conditions

On June 5th at approximately 8:40 pm, Brockville Police responded to the Brockville Jail regarding a complaint with an inmate.

A local, 23 year old male, reported to the jail to serve his weekend sentence. However, the male was intoxicated and in breach of his reporting conditions.

He was arrested for being unlawfully at large and will appear in bail court later today.

 

Breach of Probation

On June 5th at approximately 8:00 pm, Brockville Police responded to a north end department store to assist a Brockville city bus driver.

A local, 32 year old male, was passed out on the bus and would not leave.  Police arrested the male for breaching conditions of his undertaking in relation to outstanding charges.

He was released when sober and given a future court date.

 

Fire

On June 5th,  Brockville Police along with the Brockville Fire Department attended a fire call at an apartment complex in the center of town.

Charges are pending against a 15 year old male for arson.  The investigation is continuing but two fires were reported at his residence in a short period of time.

There were no injuries sustained and damage was limited to the accused parties residence.
