Traffic Stop

On June 3rd at approximately 8:45 pm, Brockville Police performed a traffic stop on a north end street.

The local, male driver, 38 years of age was presenting himself as someone else when being dealt with by Police. He was arrested and charged with personation along with several highway traffic act offences.

His 52 year old, female passenger was found to be in possession of a controlled drug.  She was arrested and charged with possessing the drug and breaching conditions of an outstanding undertaking for unrelated charges.

Both parties were released from custody with a future court date.

 

Shoplifting

On June 3rd, Brockville Police attended the Superstore on Parkedale Ave. in regards to a theft complaint.

There were three subjects involved in the theft. One of the males, a 21 year old from the Ottawa area was arrested and charged with theft and breaching his probation order. Another, 19 year old male was charged under the trespass to property act. The third male, 23 years of age was released unconditionally.

All three males, from the Ottawa area, were released at the scene and the 21 year old was given a future court date.

Domestic Dispute

On June 3rd at approximately 12:30 pm,  Brockville Police responded to a domestic dispute at an apartment complex in the center of town.

A 36 year old female, from the Kingston area, was located in the residence.  She had been charged with offences in the past in relation to the male resident she was visiting.

There was a probation order in effect that prohibited her from attending the complex or having contact with the other party.  She was arrested and charged with breaching her probation. A future court date was given and she was released later from custody.

Threats

On June 3rd at approximately 10:10 am, Brockville Police responded to the Elmgrove Unit at the Brockville General Hospital in regards to a male patient that was threatening staff.

A local, 19 year old was arrested for uttering threats and held for a bail hearing later today.

Update – Break and Enter

On the 21st of May, Brockville Police began investigating a break and enter to a downtown restaurant where a quantity of alcohol was stolen.

Police have identified two locals males as the suspects.

The investigation is ongoing but the 19 and 21 year old suspects face charges of break and enter and theft.

Disturb the Peace

On June 2nd at approximately 5:10 pm, Brockville Police responded to a fight taking place on King St. W.

A local, 21 year old male, was located in the area.  As a result of his actions, he was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance by yelling.  When released, a future court date was given.

Medical Distress

On May 31st at approximately 1:10 pm, Brockville Police responded to a south end apartment complex in regards to a 70 year old male in medical distress.

The subject was taken to the Brockville General Hospital but was pronounced deceased.

An autopsy is scheduled for today to determine cause of death but police believe it was due to a medical condition.

Unwanted Male

On May 31st at approximately 9:00 am, Brockville Police responded to a residence in the south end of the city in regards to an unwanted male.

Residents returned home to find an unknown male within the residence asleep. The confused male said he was sorry and left. It appears he may have been intoxicated and entered the residence by mistake.

The male was bleeding from his hands but there was no damage to the house and nothing taken.

Disturb the Peace

On May 31st at approximately 1:30 am, Brockville Police responded to a fight complaint outside of a downtown bar.

A 43 year old, Mallorytown resident, would not comply with requests to calm down and was continuing to cause problems.  He was arrested for public intoxication and taken into custody.

A fine was issued when sober and suitable for release.

Disturb the Peace

On May 30 at approximately 6:00 pm,  Brockville Police responded to a complaint of three males causing problems at a location in the south end of the city.

Three local males, 47, 34 and 24 years of age were found to be in an intoxicated state and unable to listen to reason.  They were arrested for public intoxication and taken into custody.

All three received a fine when released.
