On April 13th, 2014 at 3:50 pm emergency services personnel attended to the area of Pearl St West at John St. for a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. A 70 year old female was struck by a vehicle backing up. As a result of the collision the female succumbed to her injuries. The investigation is still ongoing. The name of the victim will not be released at this time.
