Nails left in driveway

A 28 year old Brockville woman had a little more than snow in her driveway when she returned home Monday morning.

At 10 a.m. Brockville Police received a call from a Bartholomew Street resident reporting that someone had thrown a bunch of nails and screws on her driveway in an attempt to damage her vehicle when she returned home to park her car. Fortunately for her she saw the items first and there was no damage as a result.

Domestic Charges

A 24 year old Brockville area man is facing numerous domestic related charges this morning as a result of an incident from New Year’s Eve.

At 11:00 a.m. yesterday Brockville Police received a call to check on the well-being of a 29 year old Brockville woman after friends had received a number of concerning Facebook messages and posts from her. While speaking with officers she disclosed an incident to them that occurred the previous night with her ex-boyfriend where they had been involved in an argument and physical altercation.

As a result, officers located the man and placed him under arrest for a number of domestic related charges and breaching his probation. He was held in custody overnight and will appear later today for a bail hearing.
