Shoplifters:
On Wednesday January 15th, two males were arrested in separate incidents at the Metro on King St. West. Both males were observed by staff selecting items and concealing them on their persons, then leaving the store without any attempt to pay. The first occurrence occurred at 1:30 p.m. by a 37 year old male. The second occurred at 5:00 p.m. by a 36 year old male. The subjects were charged accordingly and released at the scene.
Warrants:
In the last 24 hour period two males were also arrested on outstanding warrants. On the 15th a 26 year old male was arrested for his warrant at 4:00 p.m. The male was located by officers when they were dealing with another complaint. He was released from custody with a future court date. A 23 year old male was arrested shortly after midnight when officers stopped his vehicle on Perth St. The male had a warrant for his arrest from a neighbouring jurisdiction. He was arrested without incident and turned over the Ontario Provincial Police.
