Woman Wanted for Fraud Arrested

A 20 year old Brockville area woman wanted for several counts of fraud was arrested yesterday in the early afternoon when alert staff at the Bank of Montreal recognized her and called police.

At 12:30 p.m. employees at the Wall Street branch contacted police to report the woman whom police were looking for regarding several counts of fraud was in their bank at the time. Officers quickly responded to the bank and were able to arrest her without incident in the bank.

The woman was taken to the Brockville Police Service and later released with a future court date.

 

Intoxicated Man Faces Mischief and Breach Charges

At 4:45 p.m. yesterday afternoon officers responded to a downtown restaurant when staff there complained of an intoxicated male who wandered into the restaurant and relived himself on the main floor where patrons were present before exiting.

Officers eventually caught up with the man whom they recognized a short distance away. He showed all the usual signs of intoxication and officers placed him under arrest for mischief. While on scene, police further confirmed he was also on probation and he was also face an additional charge of breaching his probation order.

He was conveyed to the Brockville Police Station and held until sober when he was released on several conditions and given a future court date.

 

Intoxicated Man falling into traffic arrested

Shortly after midnight last night Brockville Police received a call from a concerned motorist reported a young man walking south on Stewart Boulevard apparently intoxicated and falling into traffic.

Responding officers located the 24 year old Brockville man who was well under the influence of alcohol on Stewart. He was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication for his own safety and conveyed to the Brockville Police Service where he was held overnight until sober.

He was released this morning with a Provincial Offences Notice.
