Joshua Hawkins – February 5, 2018 Update

Investigators with the Brockville Police Service would like to speak with an anonymous caller, who contacted 911 Communicators the night of Josh’s disappearance.

On Sunday January 28th just before 6:00 p.m. a Brockville Police officer observed a partially clothed man running south bound on Hill Street away from staff from the Brockville General Hospital. Moments later a call was received from an Ormond Street resident that a male had broken into his residence and stole some clothing before fleeing the residence. Witnesses last report seeing this man in the area of Hamilton Street.

Brockville Police then asked for the assistance of the OPP K9 unit to help search the area but were unsuccessful in locating Hawkins. At the time he was wearing a yellow Tommy Hilfiger sweater, a teal polo shirt, and black shoes. He is described as being approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 175lbs, medium build; short straight brown hair and brown eyes.

While searching the area of Hamilton Street near the CN Tracks, the Communication Centre received a phone call from an unidentified male caller who told dispatchers he observed a male of similar description getting out of a back of a truck at McDonald’s on Parkedale. Before dispatchers could get the callers information and a phone number, he hung up and investigators have been unable to track him down.

Officers would urgently like to speak to this caller and anyone else who may have information which may assist in locating Josh Hawkins.
