Warrants

Over the weekend, 4 separate warrants were executed. 2 males from the Ottawa area, both 39 and 40 years of age, turned themselves in to the Brockville Police Service on warrants held by our service for bail violations. Another local, 19 year old male was located and arrested during a traffic stop on a warrant for failing to attend court. The fourth was a local, 33 year old male, who was arrested by the OPP in relation to a separate incident. Brockville Police officers took custody of the male in relation to a domestic assault warrant. He was held for a bail hearing.

 

Mischief

A 50 year old, local male, has been charged with mischief under $5,000 in relation to an incident where he was in some sort of panicked state or possible drug induced psychosis. On June 3rd, 2018 at approximately 3:00a.m., police responded to a call of the above mentioned male going door to door in a neighbourhood in the South of the City. The male was panicked, suspected to be under the influence of some unknown substance, seeking shelter from a possible attack. One citizen allowed this male into his residence in hopes to assist him. Shortly after, this resident called 911 for assistance as the male began to panic further and cause damage to his property. Officers arrived on scene and shortly after took custody of the male after he climbed out and fell from a second story window. He was taken to the Brockville General Hospital for medical treatment and was issued a future court date.

 

Theft

A 33 year old male from Gananoque was arrested for theft under $5,000 from a department store in the North end of the City. The male suspect had left the story and was located nearby in the area. Once he was arrested, it was discovered that he was also in possession of break and enter tools and in possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose. He was later released with a future court date for those above mentioned offences.
