Domestic Dispute leads to arrest

A 33 year old Brockville woman will appear today for a bail hearing in Brockville court after a domestic disturbance early this morning.

Just before 2:00 a.m. Brockville Police were called to a Brock Street residence by the 44 year old male victim reporting that he and his common wife had been in an argument and he had been hit several times and received cuts on his face.

When police arrived they located the male victim inside the residence and spoke with him. A short time later the 33 year old woman who fled the residence when police were called, returned to the residence and spoke with officers. As a result of the investigation and interviews of those involved she was arrested for domestic assault and mischief under $5000 for a window which was broken in the residence during the altercation.

The woman was conveyed to the Brockville Police headquarters and conveyed to Brockville Court this morning for a Bail Hearing later today.

 

Shoplifter Arrested

A 41 year old Iroquois woman was arrested for shoplifting Thursday morning at the Real Canadian Superstore after store security spotted her in the clothing section selecting a number of items and leaving the store without paying for them.

Brockville Police were called to the store yesterday morning around 9:30 am by security staff after the woman was apprehended outside the store and returned to the office. On police arrival, officers continued the arrest and charged the woman with Theft Under $5000 and gave her a future court date.

The clothing was recovered and returned to store staff.
