Suspicious Person – Brockville Shopping Centre

Yesterday afternoon Brockville Police received a report from a 17 year old female who reported she was approached at the former TD Bank at the Brockville Shopping Centre and offered $100 to have pictures taken of her.

The victim contacted police advising that at approximately 2:30 pm yesterday she was at the Shopping Centre when the suspect described as a white male, approximately 5’8” tall, stocky build, wearing a dark T-shirt, baseball cap, and sunglasses approached her and asked if she wished to make $100 in 10 minutes. The suspect then offered to take pictures of her and when she declined, he left the area.

At the time of the call, officers responded to the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Warrant Executed

A 34 year old Brockville woman was arrested by Kingston Police and returned by Brockville officers early yesterday evening for a number of outstanding warrants.

The woman had outstanding warrants for failing to appear and was already facing Drug Possession and Breach of Probation charges before the latest arrest in Kingston.

 

 

Police Week Activities

Yesterday was the kick off for the annual Police Week activities for the Brockville Police Service. Chief Fraser welcomed an estimated 30 participants to an Interactive Presentation for Liquor Licensed Establishments and Special Events organizers at the New Hope Church. The event covered the various legislative requirements of licensed premises and introduced a new partnership program the Brockville Police is attempting to partner with establishments and event organizers in the community to make these activities fun, safe and family oriented for everyone.

Today from the 3pm – 5pm the Brockville Police are sponsoring a barbeque at Stingers in the Brockville Shopping Centre to complement our After School Program on Tuesday’s at the centre. All are welcome and donations will be accepted for the program at the barbeque.
