Assault with a Weapon

On the 22nd of May, 2020 the Brockville Police received report of an altercation in the downtown area.  Just after 6pm officers located a 26 year old man suffering the effects of being pepper sprayed in the face.  Police learned a 26 year old Smiths Falls man was responsible and are currently seeking a warrant for his arrest.  The two parties appear to have a history and the attack was not a random incident.

Impaired Operation

On May 24th, 2020 around 89:30 pm, the Brockville Police received a call of a possibly impaired driver at the Kentucky Fried Chicken.  Upon arrival police located a 51 year old Brockville resident behind the wheel of a Dodge SUV.  The driver was arrested after he failed the approved screening device.  He subsequently provided breath samples more than twice the legal limit.  He was charged with operating a conveyance with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood, and as a result his licence was automatically suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was towed for seven days.

Fail to Stop

On the 8th of May 2020 at 9:43 p.m. officers were in the area of the Circle K Convenience store on King St. West when they observed a motorcycle being operated without licence plates.  Officers attempted to stop the motorcycle, but the driver fled north bound on Perth St. at a high rate of speed.  CCTV footage was obtained of the suspect and motorcycle.  The driver is described as a white male wearing a black helmet, black jacket, light coloured pants.  The motorcycle is a sport bike, blue and silver possibly a 750cc or larger.
