Driving/Shoplift

On morning of May 6th, 2020 the Brockville Police stopped a vehicle on King Street.  The investigation led to the arrest of a 53 year old male for driving while disqualified, a criminal offense.  The accused has several previous criminal convictions for driving offences, which led police to impound the vehicle for 45 days.

Four hours later the Brockville Police were called to Food Basics for the same 53 year old male.  He had been observed by staff concealing items in his backpack before leaving the store.  He was located and arrested a short distance away.  He was charged under the trespass act and released at the scene.
