Disturbance

On February 19th, Brockville Police were on general patrol in the King St. East area and noted a disturbance in front of the Phoenix Bar.

A local, 28 year old male, was causing a disturbance and would not quiet down. Police noted the male was heavily intoxicated. He was arrested for public intoxication and held in custody until sober. A fine was issued when released.

Fraud Complaint

On February 18th, Brockville Police attended to an apartment complex in the north end of the city for a fraud complaint.

A local, 18 year old male, had skipped out on a cab fare and was also found to be breaching a condition of his probation. He was arrested and charged with fare fraud and the probation breach. Further investigation revealed the male was wanted by the Kingston Police Service on outstanding warrants. After paperwork was issued for local charges he was picked up by their Service to answer to the warrants.

Domestic Dispute

On February 18th, Brockville Police responded to a domestic dispute at an apartment complex in the south end of the city.

The male and female residents, both 56 years of age, were engaged in a verbal dispute that turned physical. The female damaged property in the residence and assaulted the male. She was arrested for assault and mischief and held in custody. A bail hearing will take place, later today.

Domestic Dispute

On February 17th, Brockville Police responded to a domestic dispute at a south end apartment complex.

The apartment was occupied by a 45 year old male and a 24 year old female. Police arrested the male after arriving on scene and witnessing him in the process of assaulting the female. She was taken to the Brockville General Hospital as a precaution. The male has been charged with choking, assault, mischief and utter threats.

Illegal River Crossing

On February 17th, Brockville Police responded to a complaint of a snowmobile crossing over to Brockville from Ogdnesburg area.

Police located the 21 year old male operator in a bar on King St.

Canadian Border Services contacted and male found to be here without reporting in. Arrested and held in custody for hearing today. Snowmobile impounded.

Theft

On February 16th, Brockville Police responded to a complaint involving theft of personal items.

The victim, a local 13 year old female, met a male party known to her after a request made through Facebook. The parties were standing at an intersection in the south end of town when the male pushed the female to the ground and stole her cell phone and money. The male fled the area before Police were called.

Police are now seeking the local, 18 year male. He faces charges of robbery and breaching conditions of previous release documents.

Assault Complaint

On February 15th, Brockville Police attended a residence in the south end of the city for an assault complaint.

A 19 year old female and a 21 year old male were both assaulted by a 30 year old male, known to the parties. Both victims suffered minor injuries. The 30 year old, local male, fled the scene prior to police arrival. He faces charges of two counts of assault, and a charge of mischief. The mischief charge stems from damage done to a parked vehicle when the accused left the area. Police are actively searching for the male at the time of this report.

Impaired Driver

On February 14th, Brockville Police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Laurier Blvd.

The vehicle was located tipped on its side on Laurier at California Ave. The male driver attempted to leave the scene but was located very quickly. A 36 year old male, from the Addison area was arrested for impaired driving. Once at the station, the subject refused to provide a breath sample and was charged with that offence as well. He was released from custody with a future court date.

Disturbance

On February 14th, Brockville Police responded to a disturbance at a south end duplex.

A 38 year old, local male, was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. This was done mainly for his own safety as the male had already put his head through a wall. He was held in custody until sober and released with a fine. He appeared to suffer no injuries.

On February 13th, Brockville Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex in the center of town.

When Police attended they discovered a 17 year old, local male causing problems in the lobby area of the building. He was found in an intoxicated state and a controlled substance was found on his person subsequent to arrest. He was charged with possession of the substance, causing a disturbance and was also breaching numerous conditions of outstanding release documents. Police held the subject in custody and he was remanded for bail court.
