Drug Charges

On November 25th, Brockville Police responded to a complaint on King St. W. involving problems with four teens.

Investigation revealed that one of the teens was in possession of quantity of drugs. The subject was also on release conditions from previous charges and was found to be in breach of same. A 16 year old, local male was arrested and charged with possession of the narcotic and breaching his undertaking. He was released with a future court date.

Theft

On November 25th, Brockville Police responded to the Superstore on Parkedale Ave. in regards to a theft complaint.

A local, 46 year old male was arrested and charged with theft. He was released with a future court date.

Domestic Dispute

On November 25th, Police receiving numerous calls from a resident in the north end reporting false incidents within his residence.

Police attended address for a possible domestic situation to discover the male party was home alone. He was threatening to damage a Police cruiser and was not making much sense.The local, 54 year old was arrested to prevent a further breach of the peace. He was released later unconditionally after settling down.

Shoplifting

On November 25th, Brockville Police responded to Walmart on Parkedale Ave. in regards to two female shoplifters.

The 12 and 13 year old females were released to their parents and will take part in a diversionary program.

Parking

With the holidays getting close, be careful where you park!!

Police will be starting to make extra patrols of the Fire Route Parking areas around our local shopping areas.

Make the effort to find a spot and save yourself the fine. It takes very little time and effort to avoid these infractions.

Lock it Or Lose it Campaign

The Brockville Police Service is participating in the Province wide Lock it OR Lose it Campaign and warning motorist about the dangers of property and identity theft resulting from unlocked vehicles or the leaving of valuables in plain view. The campaign is sponsored by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police

Assault

On November 22nd, Brockville Police took a complaint of an assault.

A 28 year old female alleged being assaulted by her former spouse. After an investigation was completed, a local 35 year old male was arrested and charged with assault. He was released on conditions with a future court date.

The victim received no medical treatment for her injuries which were minor in nature.

Fraud

On November 21st, Brockville Police attended Walmart for a fraud complaint.

A local, 49 year old female was charged with fraud under $5000.00 She was released at the scene with a future court date.

Assault with a Weapon

On November 21st, Brockville Police took a complaint of an altercation between two males that involved a knife.

A local 14 year old male confronted another male of the same age and brandished a knife. The parties were involved in a property transaction. There were no injuries sustained in the confrontation. The accused was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and released with a future court date.

Bail Violation

On November 22nd, Brockville Police attended a south end apartment in regards to a bail violation.

A local 29 year old male was under conditions which included house arrest and no consumption of alcohol. Police located him away from his residence and found that he had been drinking. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court later today.
