November 14 – 15, 2018 Incidents

Domestic

A 58 year old male was arrested in relation to a domestic occurrence investigated at a residence on King St. on the evening of the 14th of November 2018. Officers were called by a female complainant reporting the disturbance. Officers attended the address and discovered a male at the residence contrary to a court ordered condition to not be there. He was arrested without incident and held for a bail hearing.

 

Break and Enter

J.L. Jordan School was broken into overnight of the 13th of November to the morning of the 14h. The matter is being investigated at this time. No arrests have been made at this point. All persons offering information are eligible for a cash reward, also paid anonymously. The rewards run from $50 to $1,000 depending on the information. Unlike other reward programs which stipulate ‘arrest and conviction’, Crime Stoppers pays upon arrest only. The waiting time for the payout is drastically reduced. The reward is passed on after proper identification by code number, at a pre-arranged location. The police will not be involved unless the informant wishes them to be.

 

Foot Pursuit

On Wednesday at 12:00 pm, a 45 year old male was arrested with the assistance of our police K9 “Diesel” and his two legged coworkers. Officers on routine patrol observed a male that was known to them. The male had an outstanding warrant of arrest and fled the area when he observed police. Officers quickly set up a perimeter and the K9 unit was deployed. The male was located a short time later when his hiding spot was discovered by Diesel. The male was taken into custody without incident.

 

Shoplifting and Mischief

In separate incidents a 22 year old male and a 23 year old male were arrested at Walmart for shoplifting yesterday. The second male has also been charged with mischief after he caused damage to police cruiser door. Both have been released from custody with future court dates.

 

Domestic

A 21 year old male is now charged with criminal harassment, mischief, break and enter as well as breaching his probation in relation to a domestic incident. The complainant attended the station to report the harassment in the afternoon on the 14th of November. After making the complaint the complainant returned to her residence and discovered that the suspect had broken into her residence.

The male was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
