November 15, 2019 News Release

Theft/Bail:

A 21 year old male was arrested for theft and held for a bail hearing yesterday.  The male was arrested for stealing a bike from Canadian Tire at 9:40 a.m.  Officers responded to a call for a shoplifter at the store and took over the investigation.  It was discovered that this male was on a recognizance of bail and as a result he was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Theft:

A 52 year old male was charged with theft and breaching a condition of his probation for stealing $150 worth of merchandise from the Metro on King Street.  The male was arrested at 12:50 p.m. yesterday after police were called to the store by loss prevention officers.  The accused is well known to police.  He was released on an appearance notice with a future court date.

Theft/Bail:

On the 14th of November at 6:15 p.m. a 31 year old male was arrested as he attempted to steal $1050 worth of merchandise from the Real Canadian Superstore.  The male was arrested by officers as he exited the store.  It was discovered that the male was on a recognizance of bail from previous charges.  He was held in custody being charged with theft and breach of recognizance.
