Warrants

On November 17th at 9:45 AM, an officer on routine patrol spotted 28 year old male in the downtown core that was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court.  The male was arrested without incident and provided with a new court date.

On November 17th at 12:30 PM officers located a 40 year old male that was wanted on several warrants for his arrest.  The male was located on James Street West and arrested without incident.  The male had been previously charged with uttering threats and bail violations.  A warrant was issued for his arrest when the male failed to attend to attend for his court date.  He was held in custody for his bail hearing that will occur on the 18th of November.

Search Warrant/Drugs

A joint forces operation between the Ontario Provincial Police and the Brockville Police resulted in the arrest of a 21 year old male and a 19 year old female for being in possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking.  Shortly before 6 PM on November 17th members of Brockville Police Service’s Emergency Response Team executed the search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a Pearl Street West residence.  The ensuing search led to the discovery of a quantity of nearly $8000 in street value of illicit drugs. 

Anthony Mellon of Brockville was held in custody and has been charged with two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking, two counts of failing to comply with a release order, two counts of breaching a probation order and one count of violating his weapons prohibition.

The 19 year old female will appear in court at a later date to answer to her two charges of being in possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
