Shoplifter at Wal-Mart

Just before the lunch hour yesterday, Brockville Police were called to the Wal-Mart department store to assist their Loss Prevention staff who had apprehended a 66 year old Brockville man for shoplifting.

At 11:40 a.m. officers attended to the store’s Loss Prevention office where the man was causing a scene in the office and verbally being uncooperative. Once Brockville Police arrived the situation calmed and the man was charged with theft under $5000 and released with Appearance Notice for a future court date.

The stolen items were recovered.

 

Outstanding Warrant executed

A 40 year old Brockville woman wanted on outstanding warrants for fraud was arrested yesterday afternoon by Brockville Police.

While on patrol yesterday afternoon officers spotted the woman on Park Street at 3:50 p.m. Once the outstanding warrants were confirmed the woman was taken into police custody and processed at the Brockville Police station.

She was later released with a Promise to Appear at a future court date.
