October 10 – 12, 2020 News Release

Bail violations

October 12, 2020 at 8:22 AM – A 44 year old male was arrested for breaching his release conditions by attending a residence in the city’s south end.  Officers responded to the complaint and located the male inside.  He was arrested, charged and will appear in court at a later date.

Warrants/mischief

October 10/11, 2020 – A 31 year old male was involved in a domestic dispute on the 29th of September 2020.  As a result of that incident a warrant was obtained for his arrest in relation to a domestic assault.  At the time of that incident the male had fled the area prior to police arrival.  On October 10th the accused was arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police and turned over to our service.  The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.  During his time at the Brockville Police Service the male proceeded to cause damage within the building and was further charged with mischief.

Impaired by drugs

October 10, 2020 at 5:48 PM – The Brockville Police Service received a call of a suspicious vehicle being operated on William Street.  The vehicle was located and stopped.  A 50 year old driver was arrested for impaired operation of a vehicle by drug.  He will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.  His licence was automatically suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Break & Enter

October 10, 2020 at 8:50 PM – A 51 year old male was arrested for Break & Enter on Thursday evening.  The male was observed on a live feed security camera attempting to break into the “Second Time Around” store on Parkedale Ave.   Officers attended and arrested the male.  He will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.
