Patient returned to Brockville General

Security staff with the Brockville General Hospital contacted the Brockville Police late last evening requesting assistance with a patient.

At approximately 10:40 pm Brockville Police responded to the Ormond Street railway tracks where security staff from the hospital who had stopped a patient who fled moments earlier. Police and security staff were able to apprehend the individual without incident, and return them safely to BGH.

No one was injured during the incident.

 

Warrant Executed

A 25 year old Brockville man was arrested shortly after 11 p.m. last evening for an outstanding warrant for failing to attend for his fingerprints last month.

Brockville Police received a call from the man’s mother after the man was causing a disturbance at his mother’s residence and refusing to leave. As police responded to the residence the man fled only to be located a short time later by responding officers near the residence.

The man was arrested on the strength of the warrant and conveyed to Brockville Police headquarters where he was held in custody until sober and released with a future court date.
