The Brockville Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance regarding an altercation which took place outside of ‘The Bar’ (former Commercial Hotel) on Friday September 23rd at approximately 1030 p.m. At that time officers responded to a disturbance outside the establishment involving a group of individuals in a fight. A large crowd had gathered outside and was watching the disturbance on officer’s arrival. As a result of the incident a male described as being in his late 30’s-early 40’s suffered significant head and facial injuries and was transported to the Brockville General Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and later released.
Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have been in ‘The Bar’ around the time of the incident or on King Street during the time of the altercation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Brockville Police at 613-342-0127 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
