Theft/Warrants

A 47 year old male was arrested last night after police responded to a theft call at the LCBO on Parkedale Avenue. The male, was currently wanted by our service for being unlawfully at large. That charges stems from the male not reporting to the Brockville Jail for his intermittent sentence. The male attempted to make an escape when officers arrived on scene, but ended up getting stuck in waist deep mud. He was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Suspicious Person

Police are investigating a suspicious person who approached a female in the area of the museum on Henry St. around 7:30 pm last night. The complainant felt as though she was being followed by the male and headed West across the foot path toward the Metro grocery store and the Brock Trail. After crossing St Paul Street, the complainant stopped to let the male pass. As she turned around, the male attempted to grab her by her shoulders. The complainant successfully knocked one hand away from her shoulder and her dog lunged at and bit the male who then fled on foot. The male was described as white, 5’10”, skinny, beard, brown hair, gap between teeth, and wearing black/red shorts and a t-shirt.
