Break and Enter

On the 21st of September 2020 at 3:00 AM the Brockville Police responded to an alarm at “Seaway Gas” on Stewart Boulevard.  One suspect was captured on video entering the gas station, but he has not been identified at this point.  The incident is still considered an active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Brockville Police at 613-342-0127 or call Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Weapons/counterfeit/warrants

On the 19th of September 2020 at 11:30 AM officers from the Brockville Police were walking the beat on King Street when they located a 46 year old male that was wanted on a warrant for breaching a bail conditions.  Officers arrested the male without incident.  A search incident to arrest led to the discovery of brass knuckles and counterfeit currency.  He was charged with being in possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of the counterfeit bills.  He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Trespass

In the afternoon on September 19th Via Rail contacted the Brockville Police requesting their assistance in removing two passengers from the train that was arriving in Brockville.  A 32 year old female and a 26 year old male both from the GTA were arrested and removed from the train.  Both parties had provided false names to the officers and have been charged with obstructing police.  They will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.

RIDE:

A RIDE program was conducted on the 18th of September 2020.  While the RIDE team were mobile they observed a vehicle being driven erratically.  The vehicle was traveling on North Augusta Road.  The officers followed the vehicle on to Keefer Street as the vehicle pulled into a driveway as they activated their emergency equipment.  The driver fled on foot, but was arrested a short distance away.  The officers detected signs of impairment and requested the 38 year old driver provide samples of this breath.  The driver failed the breath test. He was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and operate with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood.  His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.  He will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.

Drugs/warrants

On the 18th of September at 11:18 PM officers from the Brockville Police Service conducted a routine traffic stop for Highway Traffic Act infractions.  As a result of the stop a 46 year old male driver was charged with being in possession of methamphetamine.  The 23 year old female passenger was wanted for an outstanding warrant for possession of stolen property.  Both were charged accordingly and released from custody with a future court date.
