Public Intoxication

A 37 year old Brockville man was arrested for Public Intoxication early yesterday afternoon when Brockville Police received a call about him in difficulty in the area of Park and Pine Streets.

A caller contacted Brockville Police at 1:20 pm yesterday afternoon to report a man wearing a baseball cap, jeans, a t-shirt and carrying a plastic bag near the intersection of Park and Pine. The man appeared to have difficulty walking and his clothing was in disarray. When officers arrived they located the man nearby and noted he had a strong odour of alcohol on his breath and showed usual signs of being intoxicated.

He was conveyed to the Brockville Police headquarters where he was held until he was sober and given a Provincial Offences Notice for being intoxicated in a public place and released.

 

Break and Enter on Hastings Drive

A Hastings Drive resident returned home yesterday afternoon to find her gate tampered with and entry gained to her garage and power tools missing.

Officers attended to the residence at 4:40 pm to meet the resident and learned sometime while she was away during the day unknown person(s) had entered her garage and stole power drills and loose change from her garage. Scenes of Crimes officers of the Brockville Police Service attended to the residence and photographed the scene and damage and processed the garage for fingerprints and forensic evidence.

Breach of Probation

A 16 year old female youth was arrested early this morning for breaching her probation order by being out past her curfew without her mother or approved adult.

The young woman was spotted by officers walking alone on Parkedale Avenue shortly after 1:00 a.m. this morning and placed under arrest for breaching her probation order. She was escorted to her parent’s residence and released from custody with a future court date and her parents notified.

 

Mischief Charges from Domestic Dispute

Brockville Police responded to a domestic dispute early this morning at a North Augusta Road residence resulting in Mischief charges to the 31 year old female resident.

At 2:45 this morning officers responded to the residence of the female and her 39 year old husband who were drinking and having an argument. During the argument the woman broke the victim’s guitar and tore up one his books.

As a result she was arrested for Mischief Under $5000 and conveyed to the Brockville Police Station where she was held until sober and eventually released on an Officer in Charge Undertaking with several conditions and given a future court date.
