September 9, 2019 News Release

Bail Violations:

On the 9th of September 2019 at 1:30 a.m. police the Brockville Police Service responded to a disturbance at a King St. West. apartment building.  When officers arrived they discovered a 43 year old male in the area in breach of a court ordered condition.  The male was on a recognizance of bail with the condition not to be within 50 meters of that area.  He was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing. It is believed he was the source of the disturbance.

 

Impaired:

At 4:20 p.m. on the 8th of September 2019 a 52 year old male drove to the Brockville Police Service to register a bicycle.  The officer dealing with the male detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage on the male’s breath.  The male then failed a roadside screening device for having alcohol in his system.  The male was arrested and provided samples of his breath for analysis.  The male had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.  He has had his vehicle impounded for 7 days; his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and drive with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood.
