On the 18th of November Police were called to a Hartley street address in regards to a suspicious person. The residents were alerted to the suspect when they heard a bang on their basement window. They looked out and observed a suspect fleeing the backyard and notified police. The residents turned off their lights and prior to police arrival observed a white male wearing a black toque, black sweater and camouflage pants who appeared to be reaching out for the door handle of their patio door. The suspect was scared off by the residents. Police were not able to locate the suspect. Information from the complaints indicate that their garden had significant footprints in it and suspect that the perpetrator had been there for some time.
