DESCRIPTION:If you are interested in a career in law enforcement and want to gain a greater understanding of the duties of a police officer\, then the High School Police Academy is a perfect day for you! \nStudents will have an opportunity to learn more on Use of Force\, Forensic Identification\, Emergency Response Team\, Dispatch\, and Court Security and try the physical fitness test required to become an officer! \nMay 20\, 2016 from 8:30am-2:30pm at the Brockville St. Lawrence College Campus. \n\nStudents should bring clothing that is appropriate for the physical fitness testing.\nStudents are required to bring their own lunch or they are able to purchase a lunch from the cafeteria.\nStudents will not be allowed to leave during the lunch break as presentations will be given at that time.\nAttendance will be taken and it is mandatory that students attend for the full day to participate.\n\nSubmission of names must be provided by May 16\, 2016 to Cst. Mark Heffernan mheffernan@jgr8poxkdf.wpdns.site 613-342-0127 ext. 4228  \n\nGrade 9-12\nTen students from each High School will be eligible to attend.\nFirst priority should be given to senior students and students interested in a career in law enforcement
