Break and Enter

On December 21, 2025, at about 11:00pm, police received a report of an alarm at the Treasure Hunt store, located at 2399 Parkedale Avenue.

Officers attended and it was noticed that there was a substantial amount of water leaking out of a wall. City of Brockville staff attended and assisted in shutting the water off to the area. Further investigation revealed that the pipes that were leaking had been intentionally cut. There was evidence of people formerly sleeping in the building and that suspects had also been in the ceiling stealing copper. It appeared as if there was copper that was staged in an area that was intended for it to be taken.

Items were seized for identification purposes and the investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information they wish to provide to police, you can do so by calling the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127 or alternatively through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). 

 Pearl Street West Fire Scene

 On December 22, 2025, at about midnight, the Brockville Fire Department was contacted in relation to an active structure fire at 46/48 Pearl Street West duplex. This is a residential building that was previously involved in a fire in early September this year.

Police attended the scene to assist the Brockville Fire Department in preventing access to the area. This fire has taken significant efforts to control. The investigation will be ongoing and led by the Office of the Fire Marshal. No injuries have been discovered at this time; however, this investigation is in the early stages and not complete. We ask the public to please remain out of the area throughout the investigation while responders restore safety.

Drugs Seized and Arrest Made in Relation to Trafficking

On December 20, 2025, at about 6:00pm, police had located a 39-year-old, male in the area of Victoria Avenue. This subject was known to be wanted for failing to attend court for previous offences.

Officers arrested the subject due to the warrant and when searched, he was found to be in possession of a quantity of crystal meth. The drugs were seized and investigation determined that the subject would be charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking methamphetamine. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
