On behalf of the Brockville Police Services Board, I am honoured to join Chief Noonan in presenting the 2025 Annual Report. This past year has once again demonstrated the resilience and adaptability required to navigate the increasingly complex social issues facing communities across Ontario.
As a Board, our primary responsibility is to ensure the City of Brockville receives the highest standard of public safety and adequate, effective policing. To that end, we have worked diligently along side the Service’s leadership to maintain the necessary complement of dedicated sworn officers and civilian staff.
True community safety requires a balance of strong enforcement and compassionate, proactive intervention. The Board is incredibly proud of the Service’s introduction of the new Mental Health Crisis Team and Addictions Case Management Team. By bridging the gap between policing and healthcare – alongside our valued community partners at Brockville General Hospital and Lanark Leeds and Grenville Mental Health and Addictions Services – we are better equipped to deal with the challenges in our community.
The data in this report highlights just how demanding 2025 was, with our members professionally handling over 18,700 calls for service. We owe a debt of gratitude to every uniform and civilian member who met these daily challenges with unwavering professionalism and commitment to public safety.
