The Brockville male was subsequently trespassed and charged under the Trespass to Property Act. At approximately 1:20pm, police responded to a theft in progress at another north end retailer, where the same male was arrested for Theft Under $5000.00. A search incident to arrest revealed additional stolen merchandise, linking the accused to another recent theft from a north end business.
Later, on February 19th, 2026, at approximately 5:50pm, police were called to Mrs. B’s Variety following a report of a robbery. The male had entered the store with his face disguised and demanded money from the store clerk. When the store clerk refused, the accused then brandished a knife that he took from the store and a brief altercation ensued. The clerk successfully removed the accused from the store, but he re-entered and stole an alcoholic beverage before finally leaving. The store clerk received minor injuries.
Through police investigation the accused was identified. At approximately 6:49pm, police received a call regarding a break and enter in progress at 69 King Street. Police responded and located the male identified from the robbery at Mrs. B’s Variety hiding from police within the unit.
The male has been charged with break and enter, robbery, theft, and assault with a weapon. The accused was held for bail and remains in custody pending a future court date.
