The Brockville Police Service continues to serve our community with dedication and commitment. While significant resources are being deployed to thoroughly investigate last week’s tragic incident, remaining personnel have continued to respond to numerous daily calls for service and emergency situations. These ongoing efforts help ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in our community. Below are just a few examples of incidents to which officers have recently responded.

On May 8, 2026, at approximately 5:30pm, police received a call regarding a female youth who was acting aggressive with individuals at a residence on Karolina Street. The youth fled the area heading northbound. Officers began to search for the female to check on her well-being and also investigate her bail condition violations.
Officers located the female in the area of the North Augusta Road and the Highway 401. The subject was running back and forth along the lanes of the highway, until officers could successfully contain her. Once that took place, the female presented a shard of glass and began attempting to stab and cut herself. At that time, with the totality of safety concerns, a Taser deployed to gain control and restore safety for everyone as soon as possible. The subject was taken to the Brockville General Hospital to assess her overall well-being and any injuries can be described as non-life-threatening.
The subject is facing charges for failing to comply with release order conditions and will appear at the courts on a future date.

Disturbance at Vigil for Victims
On May 10, 2026, at approximately 5:15pm, police received information of some individuals causing issues at Centeen Park. There was a gathering at the park to hold a vigil for the victims from the tragic murder of the three females from last week. Some of the youths were reported to be consuming alcohol at the event.
Once on scene, officers located two female youths who were 14 and 15 years-of-age. They were intoxicated to the point that they were shouting and causing a disturbance for others. It appeared that one was falling and didn’t have the ability to care for themselves. As officers attempted to remove the youths, they began resisting and officers took them into custody for being intoxicated in public. They continued to kicking and smashing their heads off the police vehicle.
No charges were issued in relation to this incident. Due to concerns for the two youth’s well-being, they were taken to the Brockville General Hospital where they received medical care.

Continued Graffiti in our Community
The Brockville Police Service is advising residents of an increase in graffiti incidents reported throughout the community. Suspects have targeted public property, private buildings, parks, and other shared spaces.
Graffiti negatively affects residents by diminishing the appearance of neighbourhoods and creating frustration for property owners who must deal with unwanted damage. It can also contribute to a reduced sense of safety and pride within the community.
In addition, graffiti places a burden on City of Brockville staff who are required to spend significant time and resources cleaning affected areas. These efforts divert city workers from other essential maintenance and services.
The Brockville Police Service asks residents to remain vigilant and report graffiti or suspicious activity. If anyone notices new graffiti in the vicinity of any security or doorbell cameras, please review your footage. Anyone with information regarding graffiti incidents is asked to contact the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Residents or businesses that have been a victim of graffiti are encouraged to report the incident online through our website at www.brockvillepolice.com and include photographs of the damage. This reporting option helps save time for the residents, while also assisting our dispatchers in receiving and processing this information more efficiently.
