Warrant

On June 15th at 9:20 am, Brockville Police received information that the Leeds OPP were dealing with a male party who was wanted by our Service.

The local 22 year old had been stopped for a traffic violation on Highway #2. Breaches of his probation order resulted in the warrant being issued. He was released on conditions with a future court date.

 

Unwanted Person

On June 15th at 11:23 am, Brockville Police attended a downtown bank for an unwanted male subject.

The local 27 year old threatened bank staff and then began pacing back and forth outside the institution. Officers arrested the man for uttering threats.

Due to mental health concerns, he was held in custody and will appear in bail court.

 

Bail Violation

On June 15th at 3:53 pm, Brockville Police Officers on general patrol observed a local 37 year old female on a south end street.

The problem is, she was walking with a male that her release conditions state she is not to communicate with. She was contacted by Police at her residence but did not want to speak to Officers to deal with the situation. When located she will be facing several breaches of her release conditions.

 

Foot Pursuit

On June 15th at 8:27 pm, Brockville Police attended the west end of King Street to deal with a man acting in a strange manner. He was asking passing females to marry him and generally being a nuisance.

When Officers arrived, they recognized the man as being wanted for a mischief a couple nights previous. The local 35 year old had confronted residents at a south end home and broke a window before leaving the area. The subject took off on foot and a foot pursuit ensued. He was located trying to hide in some tall grass a short time later.

Once tucked away in cells, the accused did not like the noise being created by the man occupying the next cell. After his demands for movement to another area were not met, he proceeded to damage a light fixture. Under arrest now for two counts of mischief, the accused will appear in bail court.

 

Family Dispute

On June 15th at 10:30 pm, Brockville Police attended a family dispute at a south end residence.

A local 48 year old man was found heavily intoxicated and had been picking fights with his girlfriend’s son. He was also exiting the residence at different times and yelling on the street.

Officers arrested the subject to prevent a further breach of the peace. He was released this morning when sober with no charges.

 

Update – Dispute at St. Lawrence Park

The 56 year old man responsible for the mischief at St. Lawrence Park was arrested and released. He admitted the fight was pretty dumb in its origin. Officers tried to make him feel better by agreeing with his position that the earth was round. He now awaits a future court date.
