September 30, 2019 News Release

Assault:

A 21 year old female is facing a charge of assault stemming from an incident September 28th, 2019 around 6:00 p.m.  The 21 year old was a patient at the Brockville General Hospital and assaulted a nurse that was attending to her. The victim did suffer a minor injury.  Officers attended and have charged the female with assault.

 

Warrants:

On the 27th of September, 2019, a known 30 year old female who was currently wanted on a breach of probation charge was located within the city shortly after noon. She was arrested and released with a future court date.  

On the 27th of September at 4:30 pm in the center of town a 29 year old male whom police knew there was an outstanding warrant for was located and fled into a nearby residence. The male was refusing to come out, and the 51 year old mother was also not being cooperative with police. An entry warrant was obtained to arrest the male, and the residence was entered. Police located the male and arrested him without incident. The mother was also arrested for obstruct, however was released unconditionally. The 29 year old male was wanted for charges of unlawfully in a dwelling as well as several probation breaches, which stem from an incident back in April, further as a result of this incident he will also be charged more probation charges. He was held for a show cause hearing.

 

Motor Vehicle Accident:

On the 28th of September, 2019 shortly before 1:30 am a vehicle was observed to be involved in a collision in the area of 488 Laurier Blvd where it went off the roadway and struck a bell box and a street light pole. The vehicle was described as being a Black Ford F-150, which was empty upon police arrival. If you have any information in regards to this accident please contact the investigating officer Cst.
