On the 24th of October 2014 at 3:30 pm officers attended to the area of the Skatepark adjacent to the Memorial Centre. At this time a 17 year old male from the area was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was charged for the offence and released with a court date. A young female was also located and she was turned over to her parents. Police are frequenting checks of the area as reports of vandalism have increased. Please be respectful and enjoy the space for the purpose it was created. It should be noted that the majority of the users of the area are respectful.

On the 25th of October at midnight officers attended a disturbance on Brighton Crescent. At this time a 22 year female from the area was located. She was charged with two counts of assault and mischief for the damage at the residence. She was released with a future court date.

On the 25th of October 2014 at 2:40 am officers were waved down by staff at the Phoenix. At this time an adult male from Brockville was arrested for assault, breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance. The male had a assaulted a staff member and will appear at a future court date.

The Brockville Police are seeking the public

On the 27th of October at 1004 am officers were advised of a vehicle travelling on Ormond Street with a person known to be wanted by the Gananoque Police in the passenger seat. Officers attended the area and activated their emergency equipment in order to pull the vehicle over. The vehicle fled travelling through a red light at Ormond and Central and subsequently travelled over to Park Street. The vehicle came to a stop and the passenger fled on foot. The 45 year old female from the Gananoque area then entered a residence in an attempt to elude police. The occupants did not know the female and she was quickly arrested. The female has numerous outstanding charges from the Gananoque police and is currently charged with breach of recognizance and breaking and entering by Brockville. The driver of the vehicle is 18 years old and is charged with dangerous driving and escape by flight. The driver was released from custody and the passenger was turned over to Gananoque Police.

The Brockville Police would like to thank the community for assisting in locating a missing 5 year old.

On the 26th of October 2014 at approximately 12:30 pm members of the Brockville Police were contacted regarding a missing 5 year old girl in the 400 block of Laurier Blvd. The child was believed to have left her residence earlier and family had spent about 45 minutes searching for her prior to calling police. Police arrived and immediately searched the house and adjacent vehicles. Police and firefighters then immediately began searching adjacent property and parks in an attempt to locate her. At that time the child was not located. Dozens of volunteers including family and friends assembled and began to search the area. A number of officers including a search coordinator were contacted to attend along with the Brockville Police K9 unit. A systematic search was organized including our K9 unit and a secondary search of the residence was conducted. At this time the child was located in a secluded hiding place, asleep. Officers were able to reunite her with her family at that time.

The Brockville Police would like to encourage all parents or guardians to discuss this scenario with their children. Clearly, Brockville is great City with people who care. The numerous telephone calls and offers of assistance were appreciated!

Members of the Brockville Police have been following the events taking place with regards to terror activity in Canada. Dialogue with Military officials, Intelligence officials and partner agencies has taken place.

It is a very disturbing time for many as these events are happening close to our community. Members of the Brockville Police will remain vigilant in their patrol and delivery of policing services. We are asking that members of the public report any suspicious activity to police. Our staff are highly trained and will respond in an appropriate manner. We want to thank our community members for their support at this time and the continued support of our Military.

On October 17th, Brockville Police responded to a complaint of an erratic motorist.

The driver was involved with another motorist in a confrontation after the accused cut off the other vehicle. Police arrested the erratic driver for Impaired driving and brought him to the station for breath tests.

A 54 year old, local male was charged with Impaired Operation and Operating a Motor Vehicle Over .08%. He was released when sober with a future court date.

On October 17th, Brockville Police responded to a fighting complaint on King St. W.

As a result of the investigation, two local 15 year old females were charged with Cause a Disturbance by Fighting and Breaching their Probation orders. They were both released with a future court date.

On October 17th, Brockville Police responded to a complaint at the Brockville Jail. A male party who was to report for a weekend sentence did not show up.

Later in the weekend, police arrested a 27 year old local male and charged him with being Unlawfully at Large. He will appear later today in bail court.
