Indecent Act

On April 4, Brockville Police received a complaint from a 17 year old female in regards to an indecent act by an unknown male.

The complainant was walking southbound on Stewart Blvd. in the area of Eleanor St. A male party, described in his sixties, exposed himself to the female and made sexual comments. He was described as wearing blue jeans, black leather jacket and a red and brown plaid shirt.

Theft

On April 3, Brockville Police located a male party wanted for theft from a downtown store.

The 46 year old, local male was arrested for theft, breaching his probation and obstructing Police. When originally dealt with in March, the accused provided a false address for himself. He was remanded into custody and will have a bail hearing tomorrow.

Public Intoxication

On April 3, Brockville Police received a complaint of an intoxicated male at a north end intersection.

Callers were worried about the male stepping out into traffic. The local, 34 year old, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was released with a fine when sober.

Impaired Driver

On April 3, Brockville Police performed a traffic stop on Stewart Blvd.

The 27 year old, local, male driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Police station. His breath readings did not meet the threshold for charges. The subject was on probation however with conditions not to operate a motor vehicle except for work purposes and to have no alcohol in his system. He was charged with the probation breaches and released with a future court date. The vehicle was impounded.

Breach of Probation

On April 3, Brockville Police responded to a north end apartment complex to assist with a male who admitted he had been using illegal drugs for approximately eight days.

The male was escorted to the Brockville General Hospital for treatment. The local, 45 year old, was also on conditions of probation which he was breaching. He was charged with that offence and given a future court date.

Public Intoxication

On April 3, Brockville Police responded to a downtown eatery after being made aware that a banner belonging to the store had been torn down.

Police located the responsible male party and the banner was returned to the store. The local, 21 year old, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was released with a fine when sober.

Unwanted Person

On April 2, Brockville Police responded to an unwanted person complaint at a north end apartment complex.

The male resident wanted an uncooperative 36 year old female to leave the residence. The local female, who had been consuming, was arrested and brought to Police headquarters. She was charged under the Tresspass to Property Act and released when sober.

Harassment

On April 2, Brockville Police investigated a complaint of harassment taking place over Facebook.

A 15 year old local female was receiving inappropriate messages from a local 17 year old male. The male was already charged with similar type offences and was under conditions of an undertaking which included not being logged on to that site. He was subsequently charged with breaching his conditions. The male was arrested and charged then released with a future court date.

Mischief

On April 2, Brockville Police attended the Brockville Jail in regards to a mischief complaint.

A 26 year old, male inmate, had damaged property within the institution. Police charged the inmate with the mischief and he will see the charge added at his next court appearance.

Licence Suspension

On March 30, Brockville Police performed a traffic stop in the center area of the city.

The 36 year old, female driver was cited for traffic violations.  Officers also performed a roadside test on the driver after detecting alcohol consumption. The driver’s breath sample registered in the “warn” range and her licence was suspended for three days. Having open liquor in the vehicle resulted in a fine.
