May 25 – 26, 2016 Incidents

Break & Enter

On May 25th at 5:00 pm, Brockville Police took a complaint of a break, enter and theft at a south end apartment building.

Sometime during the afternoon, unknown person(s) entered the victim’s apartment and removed electronics and jewelry. The investigation is ongoing.

 

Public Intoxication

On May 25th at 8:21 pm, Brockville Police dealt with a woman who entered a taxi downtown then passed out.

The 38 year old, Kanata resident, exited a bar on King Street West and once in the cab became incoherent. Police placed the woman in cells to sober up until she began getting sick to her stomach. At that point, she was taken to hospital to be properly monitored and to receive any needed care.

 

Theft

On May 25th at 11:07 pm, Brockville Police arrested a local, 21 year old man, after he stole medications from his grandfather.

On two consecutive evenings, the young man took his grandfather’s pain medication for himself. Police also learned the accused was wanted by local OPP as warrants were in place for his arrest.

He was issued paperwork for a future court date in regards to the theft from his family member and then taken into custody by their Officers.

 

Police Assistance

On May 26th at 1:20 am, Brockville Police received a request from local OPP Officers to check out a residence in the south end of the city. They were searching for a local, 46 year old female, accused of stealing a vehicle north of the city.

Brockville Officers located the woman in the south end apartment complex and made the arrest. The accused was then placed in their custody so they could carry on with the investigation.
