Dispute

On the 3rd of August 2016 at 4:28 pm Brockville police responded to a fight in the area of William St. and Pearl St.  Investigation revealed that the dispute was over the theft of a cell phone.  The owner confronted the suspect who then responded by producing a knife.  The parties separated after another male intervened.  Police are currently seeking one suspect that is known to them.

 

Fraud

On the 3rd of August 2016 at 5:30 pm police observed a taxi cab from Kingston driving by the Brockville General Hospital with it’s “emergency call 911” light activated.  Police stopped the vehicle and discovered that the driver had picked up the fare in Kingston and initially drove her to Gananoque.  The fare then wanted to go to Brockville.  The cab operator became concerned as he had not received any money and was being led on an endless drive.  Police discovered that his fare, a 39 year old female, was already on conditions not to occupy the seat of a taxi.  She was arrested and released with a future court date.

 

Disturbance

Police responded to a disturbance in the south end of town at 9:25 pm on the 3rd of August.  While investigating the disturbance they discovered a 16 year old female in breach of her bail conditions.  She was arrested and charged accordingly.

 

In the 24 hour period city police responded to 6 motor vehicle accidents.
