Bail Violation
On August 16th at 3:00 pm, Brockville Police responded to family dispute at an apartment complex in the center of the city. A 41 year old female reported her son became upset and took off from the residence. The 16 year old was under conditions as a result of outstanding criminal charges still before the courts. One of the conditions was to remain within the household.
When Officers caught up to him, he spoke about harming himself. As a result, he was taken to hospital to check on his mental wellbeing and no charges laid.
On August 17th at 3:20 pm., Brockville Police received information from Youth Probation that the teen had been violating his release conditions on a constant basis and was also breaching conditions of a current probation order. Officers arrested and charged the subject with breaching both his recognizance and his probation order. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court.
Mischief at Court
On August 16th in the early afternoon, a prisoner at the Brockville Court House began causing problems while in his cell. The local 28 year old was awaiting his attendance in bail court when he decided to flood the cell block area by clogging a toilet. He then kicked a phone jack outlet on the wall, rendering it inoperable.
The male was facing two counts of robbery and the mischief charge was added to the list.
Public Intoxication
On August 17th at 4:22 pm, Brockville Police attended the 1000 Islands Mall to deal with a man passed out near one of the entrances.
Officers dealt with a local 55 year old who was extremely intoxicated. For his own safety, he was placed under arrest for public intoxication and taken into custody. When sober, he was released with a fine.
