Warrants

On April 11, 2022 at about 3:00PM, the Brockville Police Service was notified about a 41-year-old male at the Brockville Probation and Parole office on Wall St., who was wanted. The male had a warrant for his arrest in regards to a charge of fail to comply with probation. He was arrested by officers a released shortly after on documents with a new court date.

On April 12, 2022 at about 10:45AM, the Brockville Police Service located a 48-year-old male on King ST. W who was wanted on a warrant for fail to comply with probation. He was arrested by officers and released shortly after on documents with a future court date.

On April 12, 2022 at about 4:15PM, the Brockville Police Service located a 22-year-old male on Stewart Blvd., who was wanted for domestic related utter threats and assault. The warrant was issued as a result of an domestic disturbance investigation that took place on April 6, 2022. The male was arrested and later released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date.

 

Missing Youth Found Safe

On April 12, 2022 at about 6:30PM, the Brockville Police Service receive a call regarding a missing 9-year-old boy from a residence on Perth St. Officers flooded the area in attempts to locate the youth. After approximately one hour, the youth was located safely. He was located in the area of the neighbourhood where he resides. It should be noted that another 14-year-old boy was a key factor in providing information about the missing youth’s location. Also, there was nothing malicious in the youth’s absence. The Brockville Police Service thanks all those who assisted in this search. These cases are difficult for family and friends so every contribution matters.     

 

Fraud

A female has been charged after attempting to cash fraudulent cheques. On April 12, 2022 at about 2:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint from the ScotiaBank on King St. W., regarding someone attempting to cash fraudulent cheques. Officers arrived and investigation revealed that a 21-year-old female had attended to the bank presenting fraudulent cheques totaling a value just over $49,000.00. The female was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing for the offences of fraud over $5,000.00 and possession of a forged document.

 

Robbery and Weapons

A male has been charged in relation to a robbery with weapons involved. On April 12, 2022 at about 8:30PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of an unwanted people at a residence on Victoria Ave. Officers arrived and investigation revealed that a 41-year-old male and 40-year-old female, were visiting at the victim’s residence. A disagreement had taken place causing the victim to ask the two subjects to leave. The disagreement escalated and the male and female attempted to take the victim’s cellphone. The 41-year-old male had pulled a knife on the victim during the altercation. The 40-year-old female took the phone from the victim and struck him with it. The victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening but did receive injuries to his face and hands. Both of the subjects fled prior to police arrival. Both the male and female are wanted for robbery and assault with a weapon.

On April 13, 2022 at about 8:00AM, two different off duty officers from the Brockville Police Service engaged in locating and arresting the 41-year-old male. The male was located in the area of Pearl St. W. and William St. Uniform officers attended the area along with the two off duty officers. The suspect fled and a foot pursuit was initiated. He was arrested shortly after by police in that area. He was held in custody for a bail hearing as he was charged with the above mentioned offences. The female subject has not been arrested and is still wanted by police.
