Warrants

On April 16, 2022 at about Midnight, the Brockville Police Service was advised by CFB Kingston that they had located a 31-year-old female, who was wanted on a bench warrant issued out of Brockville. The warrant was for failing to attend court. She was escorted to the Brockville Police Service and held for a bail hearing.

 

Weapons and Threats

On March 15, 2022 at about 9:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint regarding an altercation on King St. E. Investigation revealed that during a dispute, a 39-year-old male, brandished a knife in a threatening manner to another male. Fortunately, no one was injured as the incident did not escalate any further. On April 15, 2022 at about 9:00PM, an officer from the Brockville Police Service located the 39-year-old male, in the area of Pearl St. W. The male was arrested in relation to the incident and charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, carry concealed weapon, utter threats and fail to comply with probation. He was held for a bail hearing.

 

Drug Possession

A traffic stop leads to a male charged with drug possession. On April 14, 2022 at about 10:15PM, officers from the Brockville Police Service conducted a traffic stop in the area of Louis St. It was found that two males were in the vehicle. The driver was identified to be a 29-year-old male who’s licence had been suspended. Also, the licence plate on the vehicle was not authorized to be attached to it and there was open alcohol inside. The passenger of the vehicle was a 24-year-old male. Investigation revealed that he was in possession of counterfeit money and small amounts of cocaine and fentanyl. The driver was charged with driving while under suspension, use plates not authorized for vehicle and driving a vehicle with open liquor. The passenger was charged with possession of cocaine, fentanyl and counterfeit money. Each were released with documents for future court dates.

 

Bail Violations

On April 15, 2022 at about 1:15AM officers from the Brockville Police Service observed a 24-year-old male who was breaching his bail conditions. The male was located in the downtown area and spoken to by police on Church St. He was found to be on bail by way of release order. The conditions of his bail were a curfew and not to have consumed alcohol outside of his residence. The male was arrested as he had been drinking and was out past his curfew. He was held for a bail hearing.

 

Motor Vehicle Collision and Weapons Offences

A male has been charged after an incident involving a BB gun and a traffic collision. On April 15, 2022 at about 9:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received multiple complaints regarding a motor vehicle collision in the area of William St. and Pearl St. W. It was learned that one of the vehicles was travelling at a high rate of speed going the wrong way, on the one way, on William St. heading North towards Pearl St. W. Once at the intersection a collision took place. Luckily, no one was seriously injured during the collision. During the investigation, it was found that three young males were in the vehicle going the wrong way on William St. Further information was learned that one of the males in the vehicle had discharged a BB gun at someone in the area. The vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed because it was attempting to flee the area. All three males were arrested as part of the investigation. It was determined that the one who discharged the BB gun was also the driver. Two males were released without charges and the 18-year-old, male driver, was charged with discharge an air gun, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and dangerous operation of a vehicle.    

 

Bail Violation and Mischief

On April 16, 2022 at about 9:30AM, a 26-year-old male attended the Brockville Police Service to turn himself in as he knowingly breached a release order condition. The male had a release order bail condition to attend a scheduled appointment with probation on April 15th. He did not attend the appointment. Knowing that he would be charged with the breach, he turned himself in. He was charged and released shortly after with a court date. Later on April 16, 2022 at about 4:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint from the Brockville Jail regarding a broken window. It was learned that the same 26-year-old male had attended to the jail and broke a window. He was arrested and charged with mischief under $,5,000.00 and fail to comply with release order. He was released on an undertaking with a future court date.

 

Bail violation and Mischief

On April 15, 2022 at about 9:00PM, the Brockville Police Service investigated an incident on King St. E. Investigation revealed that a 40-year-old male, was responsible for breaking a window at an address where he is on conditions to abstain from attending. On April 16, 2022 at about 11:00PM, that same male was located and arrested by officers. He was charged with mischief under $5,000.00, fail to comply with probation and two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. He was released with a future court date.

 

Bail Violation

On April 17, 2022 at about 2:30AM, the Brockville Police Service located a 38-year-old male on Courthouse Ave., out of his residence past his curfew. He was on release order bail conditions to remain in his residence between the hours of 9:00PM and 6:00AM. He was also on three separate probation orders. He was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing for fail to comply with release order and three counts of fail to comply with probation.
