Bail Violation

A male was charged after breaching his undertaking bail conditions. On April 19, 2022 at about 2:30PM, a 23-year-old male attended the Brockville Police Service to make a report regarding an unrelated matter. It was noticed that in his company was a female who he was on conditions to abstain from communicating with. Once that was determined, the male was placed under arrest for failing to comply with his undertaking conditions. He was charged with that offence and held in custody for a bail hearing.

 

Impaired Driving

A male had been charged with impaired operation after a traffic stop. On April 20, 2022 at about 9:00PM, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Keefer St. for speeding. When police approached the vehicle, they identified the driver to be a 46-year-old male. After conversing with the driver, the officers noticed that he had been drinking. A breath sample was taken and the driver failed the roadside screening device test. He was placed under arrest for driving over 80mg. He was taken to the Brockville Police Service where further samples were taken determining the exact amount of alcohol in his blood. He was charged with operation while impaired and operation while over 80 mg. His vehicle was impounded, his licence was suspended for 90 days and given paperwork with a future court date.  

 

Warrants 

On April 20, 2022 at about 5:00PM, the Brockville Police Service learned that the Kingston Police Service had arrested a 30-year-old female who had warrants for her arrest. The warrants were issued in Brockville and were in relation to two counts of fail to comply with release order and fail to attend court. Her custody was transferred to the Brockville Police Service where she was held for a bail hearing.
