April 29 – 30, 2017 Incidents

Mental Health

On the 29th of April, 2017 at approximately 6:00p.m., the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of a local, 46 year old, male suffering from suicidal thoughts at an apartment building in the South End of the city. Officers did locate the male and he was apprehended for a form 1 assessment. He was then escorted to the Brockville General Hospital where he was admitted for treatment.

 

Disturbance at Licenced Establishment

On the 29th of April, 2017 at approximately 10:00p.m., the Brockville Police Service was a dropped 911 call from a licenced establishment in the South End of the City. Officers attended and found a local, 60 year old, male who was intoxicated and involved in a disturbance. He was also failing to leave the premises when directed and would not identify himself to police. The male was placed under arrest. It was also found during the investigation that the male was in possession of a counterfeit Ontario drivers license card. He was released when sober and issued charges under the Trespass to Property Act and the Highway Traffic Act in regards to the drivers license.

 

Fire

On the 30th of April, 2017 at approximately 3p.m., the Brockville Police Service responded to the report of an active vehicle fire. The location was in the North End stretch of Stewart Blvd between Laurier Blvd and Centennial Rd. Brockville Fire Department was also in attendance. The fire consisted of a pick up truck with property in the rear box which had ignited due to causes unknown. No one was injured in the incident.
