April 29 – May 3, 2022 News Release

Impaired

A female has been charged with impaired driving. On April 29, 2022 at about 2:00AM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Stewart Blvd. Officers arrived and located a 44-year-old female in the driver seat who was asleep. Investigation revealed that the female was impaired by drugs. She was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and taken for further testing by a Drug Recognition Expert. After the testing was complete, she was charged with operation while impaired by drugs, her licence was suspended and vehicle impounded.

 

Assault

A male has been charged after assaulting a neighbour. On April 30, 2022 at about 6:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint from a resident in the area of Cedar St. that his neighbour had been harassing him for a week and just assaulted him. Officers attended and investigation revealed that a 46-year-old male, had been engaging in a dispute with one of his neighbours. The behaviour was harassing in nature. On this date, the 46-year-old male had engaged again, was threatening his neighbour and also punched him. Officers arrested the male and charged him with criminal harassment, uttering threats and assault. After being interviewed he was released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date.

 

Warrants

On April 29, 2022 at about 7:00 pm, officers from the Brockville Police Service observed a 33-year-old female, known to have a warrant for her arrest. She was observed on King St. W. in the area of The Score. Officers located the female and placed her under arrest. The warrant was a bench warrant for failing to attend court. She was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Further;

On April 30, 2022 at about 1:30PM, the Brockville Police Service located a 33-year-old female in the area of Broad St. She was found to have a bench warrant out for her arrest for failing to attend court. She was arrested and released shortly after with a new court date.

Further;

On May 2, 2022 at about 9:00AM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of a suspicious person in the area of Parkedale Ave. Officers arrived and found a 29-year-old male who had a warrant for his arrest out of Woodstock, ON. The male was placed under arrest and released by Brockville Police on behalf of Woodstock Police Service, with a new court date.

Further;

On May 2, 2022 at about 6:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received information from the OPP that they had arrested a 45-year-old male, on an outstanding warrant issued by Brockville Probation. The warrant was in regards to two counts of fail to comply with probation. He was released on paperwork with a new court date.
