Arrests

The Brockville Police have made a couple of arrests in connection with a string of break-ins, thefts and property damage in the city’s south end from earlier this spring.

In a joint investigation including members of the Services Uniform Patrol Division, Detective Office and Drugs and Intelligence Office, officers arrested and charged two Brockville men, 19 and 21 years of age. The 19 year old faces charges of 8 counts of Break, Enter and commit, 2 counts of theft under $5000, and 2 counts of mischief under $5000 as well breaching of his existing probation order. The 21 year old faces 9 counts of Break, Enter and commit, 2 counts of theft under and a single count of mischief.

Included in these charges is the May 21st Break-in to Bud’s on the Bay, cottages and houses on Smith Island, damage to the new downtown Rotary Park, and thefts from boats moored in the Brockville riverfront area.
