August 12 – 13, 2022 News Release

Disturbance

On August 12, 2022 at about 11:00AM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of a 29-year-old male causing a disturbance in the area of Perth St. and Church St. Officers attended and located the male. He had been asked to leave a nearby residence and was refusing to leave the area. He was found to be intoxicated and also in possession of a knife. The knife was not being used in a threatening manner. The male was arrested due to his intoxication levels and the disturbance being caused. Upon his arrest he was searched and officers located a small amount of crystal meth. He was later released once sober and charged with two counts of breaching his probation and possession of crystal meth.

 

Impaired Driving

On August 13, 2022 at about 6:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received a call of a motor vehicle collision in the parking lot near the Stewart Blvd and 401. Officers arrived on scene and located all parties involved. Investigation revealed that a 35-year-old male was operating a motor vehicle in the parking lot and caused the collision. Officers also noticed that he was under the influence of alcohol. The male driver failed the roadside screening device test and was arrested for driving over 80mgs. He was taken to the Brockville Police Service for further testing where it was confirmed that he was operating over the legal limit of alcohol. He was later released after being charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired by alcohol blood concentration over 80mgs. His driver’s licence was also suspended and vehicle impounded.

 

Warrant

On August 12, 2022 at about 7:00PM, officers from the Brockville Police Service located and arrested a 46-year-old male, who was known to have a bench warrant for his arrest for failing to attend court. The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.
