Drug Search Warrant
On August 18, 2022, the Brockville Police Service executed a search warrant at two separate residence units in the building of 69 King St. E. in Brockville. Once the warrant was executed, two individuals were arrested and taken into custody. They were identified to be a 63-year-old male and a 54-year-old female. A search of the residences discovered approximately 3 ounces of various drugs including cocaine, crack cocaine and crystal meth. Along with these substances, officers also unveiled drug paraphernalia including scales and packaging materials, over $1000.00 in cash and weapons including a prohibited switch blade and a conducted energy weapon (stun gun). Both were held in custody for a bail hearing. The female was charged with the offences of possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, possession of crack cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine (crystal meth) for the purposes of trafficking and two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon. The male was charged with possession of crack cocaine for the purposes of trafficking and fail to comply with release order.
Impaired Driving
On August 18, 2022 at about 3:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint regarding a minor vehicle collision on Water St. When the call came in it was suspected that the driver of the vehicle causing the collision was possibly impaired. Officers arrived and determined that the 60-year-old male driver had been consuming alcohol. Shortly after, a roadside screening test was administered. This resulted in a fail. The male was placed under arrest and taken to the Brockville Police Service for further testing. Those tests confirmed that the driver was operating a vehicle with over the legal limit of alcohol in his blood. He was later released after being charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol over 80mg. His driver’s licence was also suspended and vehicle was impounded.
Impaired Driving
On August 18, 2022 at about 10:15PM, the Brockville Police Service received information regarding a single motor vehicle involved in multiple collisions. The collisions caused significant damage to the vehicle itself and various properties on Perth St. between the area of Pearl St. and Front Ave. Luckily, no one was seriously injured in this incident as the manner in which the vehicle was driven was very dangerous. The driver was identified to be a 19-year-old male. He was taken to the Brockville General Hospital but was released shortly after. He was then taken to the Brockville Police Service for testing and it was determined that he was driving while over the legal limit of alcohol. His driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle impounded. Once he was sober he was released with a court date and charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired – blood alcohol over 80mg, dangerous driving, failure to stop after accident and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
Voyeurism – Correction
It has come to our attention that the story below released on August 16, 2022 had some incorrect information. The accused individual was originally described as the Step-father of the family in the residence. It was later determined that the accused is not the Step-father rather, he is a family acquaintance and partner of one of the other adults who was residing there. We felt it was important to correct this detail.
On August 13, 2022 at about 8:30PM, the Brockville Police Service engaged into an investigation concerning voyeurism. The investigation revealed that a 47-year-old male, who was the Step-father of the home, had concealed a video recording device in the family home. With that device, multiple recordings of various people in compromising positions were captured. The device was seized and the victims have been identified and spoken to by police. On August 14, 2022 at about 3:30PM, the accused 47-year-old male was arrested and taken into custody. He was charged with voyeurism and held in custody for a bail hearing.
Warrants
On August 16, 2022 at about 12:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received information from the OPP that they had a 48-year-old male in custody, who had a warrant out for his arrest. The warrant was a bench warrant for failing to attend court. Brockville Police attended to the male and met with the OPP in Prescott. The male was released there with documents and a new court date.

On August 16, 2022 at about 5:30PM, the Brockville Police Service located a 36-year-old male known to have a warrant out for his arrest. The warrant was in relation to charges of carry concealed weapon and two counts of fail to comply with probation. He was arrested and later released on conditions and a future court date.
