Impaired Driving

On August 20, 2017 at approximately 7:30 am, the Brockville Police Service came in contact with a 30 year old local male, wearing a vest identifying himself with an outlaw motorcycle club, in the Center area of the city. He was originally approached by officers as it appeared that he was having mechanical issues with his motorcycle on the roadway. While speaking with the male an odour of alcohol was noticed coming from the male’s breath. A roadside breath demand was made and the breath sample registered a fail on the alcohol screening device. The male was arrested for care and control of a motor vehicle. Additional breath samples were given and they determined the exact concentration of alcohol on his breath to be one and a half times the legal limit of alcohol. He was charged with care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and released with a future court appearance date.
