Weapons/threats

On the 28th of August at 9:50 AM the Brockville Police responded to a complaint about a person with a weapon and threatening to kill someone.  Officers were dispatched to an apartment building on Kensington Parkway as it was reported that the 25 year old female had entered the building armed with a shovel threatening to kill a resident.  She was located by officers who disarmed and arrested her.  She was then held in custody for a bail hearing. 

Impaired

On Friday the 28th of August at 2:40 PM the Brockville Police responded to a complaint about an erratic driveron Stewart Boulevard.  The caller then stated that the vehicle had now driven off the highway and into the ditch.  Officers arrived on scene and discovered signs of impairment by alcohol on the driver.  The 32 year old female driver was transported to the Brockville General Hospital for treatment.  A qualified breath technician attempted to obtain samples of her breath at the hospital, but the she refused to provide them.  She was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and failing to comply with a demand.  Her licence was automatically suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Fail to remain accident

On the 30th of August at 11:49 AM a large Dodge Ram grey pickup truck entered the drive-through of Starbucks located at 1981 Parkedale Avenue.  The vehicle had entered the drive-through the wrong way.  As the vehicle attempted to back out it struck the building.  The vehicle then fled the location.  The vehicle should have significant damage to the passenger side.  We are asking for any witnesses to contact Mike Noonan at 613-342-0127 ext. 6089 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Fail to remain accident

On the 30th of August at 12:37 PM the Brockville Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Oxford Avenue involving two vehicles.  There were not any reported injuries in the collision, but one vehicle fled the scene.  That vehicle along with the driver were later located.  Both vehicles had significant damage.  A 57 year old female was charged with failing to yield from a private drive under the Highway Traffic Act and failing to stop at the scene of an accident under the Criminal Code.  She will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.

Break and enter

On the 30th of August shortly after 9:00 PM the Brockville Police were contacted by a homeowner on Comstock Crescent about a male they had discovered in their residence.  The male had entered the residence while the complainant was away.  When he returned home he discovered the 30 year old male inside the residence.  The male was on the homeowners couch eating their food.  The suspect had also gone through the residence and had collected numerous items.  He was escorted out of the residence and police were contacted.  The male was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing.  Sean Liam Kinghorn 30 years of age has been charged with breaking and entering and 4 counts of breaches of probation.

Suspicious male

On the 28th of August just before 4:00 AM the Brockville Police responded to reports of a suspicious male on Garden Street.  The male was located by officers and arrested for various criminal code offences.  The male had provided several false names to officers in order to avoid arrest as he was on release conditions from other incidents.  A search incident to arrest led to the discovery of a small quantity of methamphetamine.  The 29 year old male has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, breaching a probation order, failing to comply with an undertaking and obstructing police.  He will appear in court at later date to answer to the charges.
